在一片遥远的大地上，长久的和平被打破了。
帕拉美奇亚帝国召唤出地狱军团，企图统治这个世界。
菲因王国的人民勇敢地进行了卫国战争……但是失败。
4个菲因国的青年要逃亡到阿尔提亚去，而敌人，就在他们身后。

希尔达：他能活过来吗？
敏武：是的。他不久就会苏醒过来的。他的生命力很强。

希尔达：嗯。我们该走了，其他人都还等着开会呢。要是让帝国军造好了在波夫斯克的大战船，我们就完了。

斐利昂：嗯……啊……我在哪儿？其他人呢？莱恩！玛莉娅！盖伊！

盖伊：菲因的公主救了我们，可是莱恩还下落不明。

希尔达：别激动！以你们现在的状况，上战场只能是送死。

Minh: Yes, it’ll not be long before he regains consciousness. He has a strong life force.
Hilda: I found him as I was fleeing Phin, unconscious and covered in blood. Save him!
Minh: I have amplified his life force. Let’s let him be for now.
Hilda: You are right. We should get going. Everybody’s waiting for us at the meeting. If the empire completes their warship at Bofsk, we’ll stand no chance against them.
[Hilda and Minh exits]
Firion: Unh… Wh… Where am I? …The others! Lion! Maria! Guy!
[Outside medical room]
Maria: Firion! You are alive! I… I…
Firion: Where’s Lion?
Guy: We were rescued by the Princess of Phin, and Lion hasn’t been found yet.
Firion: It’s all right, I’m sure he’s alive.
[Meeting room]
Hilda: So…you have recovered. Good.
Firion: Princess, please let us fight with your rebel army against the Empire!
Hilda: Settle down! In your current state, you’d only be throwing your lives away.
Maria: We’ve got nothing else to live for… Our family, our homes… Gone.
Hilda: I’m sorry. Well… you may stay here in Altea as you wish. Remember the wild rose. It’s the crest of Phin and the secret password of our rebel army.
[Talk again]
Hilda: Our password is [Wild Rose]. Don’t forget it.
Hilda: The Wild Rose is the crest of Phin. Ah, I wonder how Phin is doing now. I saw captives being gathered there. If you are going to try to find Maria’s brother Lion, Phin might be a good place to start. However, it’s become a very dangerous town ever since the Empire seized it. Be careful.
[Talk to Minh]
Minh: Your destiny will be intertwined with mine. I can feel it. First, hear towards Phin.
Minh: I see you are using the password, Try saying it to others too.
[Talk to others]
Younger man: To the east is the port city of Palm, but a large lake blocks the way. You could get there if you had a canoe, though.
Elder man: Phin castle has been taken by the Empire. Their monsters are all over the place.
Guards: This is the meeting room.
[King’s room]
Guards: This is the King’s room. He was critically injured by the Empire’s soldiers.
King: Oh… the pain… My daughter Hilda will tell you everything.
[The hall]
Man: This is Altea’s rebel base.
Boy: Kashuon’s Prince Gordon is here in Altea. It seems he has lost his confidence though.
Girl: Princess Hilda fled to Altea when Phin was seized. She took control of the rebellion when the King was fatally wounded.
[Treasure boxes]

[Town Altea]
[Outside rebel base]
Paul: Hey, I’m Paul, the world’s greatest thief. There’s nothing I can’t steal.
Paul: I never steal from rebels. My hometown of Phin was invaded.
[Near inn]
Man: The Empire hasn’t attacked Altea yet, thankfully.
[Back of rebel base]
Gordon: My name is Gordon, late prince of Kashuon. Now I’m just a lowly coward. My clan fled to Kashuon but my brother Scott was captured by the Empire.
Gordon: You want to join the war? Sigh… If you succeed, remember what a coward I am.
[Near resurrection room]
Man: Paul may be a thief, but he only steals from the Empire!
[Near weapon shop]
Man: Tobul is our blacksmith. He can make great tools, but lately he’s been hiding.
[Weapon shop]
Man: I’m just an old man.
Man: Heh, that was only a disguise. I’m the rebel’s best blacksmith, Tobul!
[Talk to vendor]
Vendor: Welcome! What would you like?
